Children’s Book Publishing: A Conversation on Children’s Book Publishing and Illustration

We welcome you to join Michael Molinet (author-illustrator) and Peter Trimarco (publisher- author-illustrator), for a conversation on children’s picture book publishing. This open format, which encourages a great deal of Q & A, will cover issues related to the later stage of the creative process, print production, product formats, as well as marketing and distribution considerations. Our conversation will address the balance of challenges unique to children’s picture books, such as story-telling through images, prose vs. rhyme & verse, Lexicon ratings, word & page count, format and production, e-book options and retail visibility. This will be that necessary conversation that author, illustrator and publisher should have before you pay the printer.  Although we will not do a deep dive into all areas of publishing, the goal of this fireside chat will be to address many of the related decisions in the later stages of the creative process, in order to arrive at a professional final product that can be properly marketed and distributed to your target audience.
