Join Tamara Cribley, of The Deliberate Page, as we take a look at the ways reader’s experience your book in different formats. Discover how those experiences can help inform your formatting and design choices. With an overview of manufacturing processes, you’ll gain a better understanding of platform requirements and learn how to optimize your formatting and design to create an ideal reading experience, including considerations for readers with special needs. Along with fonts, margins, and graphic elements, we’ll discuss industry standards and how to make your book stand out.
About Tamara –
Tamara Cribley, owner of The Deliberate Page, has been a graphic designer for nearly 20 years, focused exclusively on Independent publishing for the last ten. With a background in information design she creates aesthetically appealing designs that prioritize readability and functionality to create ideal reader experiences. Her technical knowledge and experience in managing creative projects, from copywriting and designing publish-ready files to managing color on an offset press, gives her a unique perspective. She is able to share industry standards and expectations as well as their purposes, and ways to create a unique style without compromising quality. Tamara has taught self-publishing and formatting workshops online, and at conferences across Colorado.
