This month’s CIPA Armchair will be hosted by Mary Walewski, former CIPA President and book marketing consultant. 

I started doing Zoom Book Launch Parties in 2020 during lockdown. My clients were marooned in Mexico, their book was about living in Saudi Arabia, they had friends all over the world to invite and we had no idea if it would work. It turned out to be a blast! Everyone had a great time and the author sold a lot of books. I’ve been suggesting zoom launches to my clients ever since.

Now, my authors are still launching virtually because the parties are inexpensive, fun, and can include friends and family all over the world. Best of all, you also don’t have to be a tech genius to do it!

In this CIPA Armchair, I will show you:

  • How to set the launch up in zoom and stream it live on Facebook.
  • How to invite your guests and keep track of who is attending.
  • Why you need an MC to run the meeting.
  • How to plan your program.
  • What to include and what not to do.
  • What to do after the event.
