How to Revise Your Book So It Impacts Your Readers
A CIPA Armchair Event
$25, CIPA Members Only
Limited to 8 attendees.
Wednesday, 02/02/2022, 6pm – 8pm MST, via ZOOM
When nonwriters think of revision, they imagine cleaning up spelling and punctuation errors, but authors know revision means reorganizing, rewriting, and deleting entire scenes and replacing them with new ones. But where do you start?
In this small group setting, we’ll discuss your book and where you should start revising. We’ll talk about the different levels of revision and what aspects of writing and story telling you should address in each. Then you’ll get the chance to tryout some of the revision techniques on your writing. We’ll even talk about how you can get help revising.
If you want to write the kind of book that leaves a lasting impression on your readers, you need to know how to revise your writing. That’s what this armchair is designed to do.
This month’s CIPA Armchair will be hosted by Caitlin Berve, an award-winning fantasy author, editor, and speaker.
