Awards: Princess Monori, also published by Our Golden Hour, is a bronze medalist in the IPPY awards 2017, in the category for multicultural non-fiction for children and young adults. The same book is also a finalist in the Colorado Author’s League (CAL) 2017 awards competition in the category of children’s non-fiction.
Talk: Beth Walker, representing Our Golden Hour, will be giving a talk at the Tattered Cover Bookstore in Littleton at 2pm on April 30th, along with a few other CAL award finalists. Our Golden Hour is a non-profit dedicated to helping education and literacy of marginalized indigenous people everywhere.
The FBI Wife by Sandra Windsor has recently been selected as a finalist in the 2017 Colorado Authors League contest. She will be reading and speaking at The Tattered Cover on Saturday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. She will also be speaking at the Grand Junction Book Club on May 16 and will be doing a book signing at Barnes & Noble, Grand Junction on Saturday, June 3.
In partnership with CIPA, the Georgetown Heritage Center will host The Road More Traveled: Independent Publishing Workshop for Aspiring Authors and Curious Readers on June 3, 2017. Details are being finalized, but the program includes a writer’s workshop beginning at 1:00 followed by a self-publishing panel presentation at 3:00. After dinner, CIPA authors will be provided space to display, promote, and sell their works.
