LUNCHEON on the rooftop sky deck at the Denver Athletic Club. The guest
speaker will be Frank Bonanno, owner-operator-chief of two of the city’s
best restaurants, Mizuna and Luca D’Italia. He has published the Mizuna
Cookbook, which has 260 recipes. He will do a cooking demonstration, and
the lunch menu will be crafted from recipes in his book, which will be

Wednesday, Aug. 16, 6-7 p.m., GUEST BARTENDER -– AND A HANGIN’. Irv
Moss, long-time sports reporter at The Denver Post and a past DPC
president, will be our guest bartender. And at 7 p.m., we’ll unveil a
caricature of Irv and hang it on the DPC wall.
Wednesday, Aug. 23, 6-7 p.m., GUEST BARTENDER will be Susan Gatschet
Reese, the morning DJ at KUVO-FM. Her tips will go to KUVO, which was
recently selected as the best jazz station in a major market for the
second year in a row.
Wednesday, Aug. 23, 7 p.m., REVERSE PRESS CONFERENCE. Last year, the
DPC and the Public Relations Society of America turned the tables and
staged a reverse press conference, where PR professionals get to ask
questions of a panel of reporters. This event is free.
Friday, Sept. 22, DPC Hall of Fame dinner. Pete Blake, Joe Fuentes,
Cle Cervi Symons and posthumously, Starr Yelland.
