Jodine Broscovak is a family history writer and author based in Centennial, Colorado. With the introduction of her book, Call Me Joseph, a biography of her father and life story legacy, she speaks to the value of personal memories that make up each individual’s unique life story. Readings from Call Me Joseph entertain her audience with both humorous and sobering experiences as stories unfold around historic milestones of the past American century.

Teaching experience in the classroom as both writer and artist serves Jodine well in coaching the creative development of one’s own life story legacy. No matter the age, memories are priceless gifts to present and future generations.

Frederick M. Perrin 204.319.8116
'Rafi's Song and the Stones of Erebus'.  Email

Program Presentation:
This is a fictional adventure story for children 8 - 13. CIPA's past president, Dr. Judith Briles has stated that it is 'destined to become a children's classic'. The premise of the story is that 'love leads to miracles' and was written and dedicated to a young girl (Rafiatu) who the author supports in Ghana, Africa. It was conceived while I lay in a hospital in Minneapolis after having just been diagnosed with cancer. The first draft was written while on intensive chemotherapy and eventually published two years later (2006). Reviews can be seen on Amazon.com and Ankhbooks.com.
'Rafi's Song' is steeped in mythology yet helps children cope with some of the major issues troubling our times. Expertise includes creative writing and mythology.

Available: With proper notice I am generally available to speak to schools. However, my next trip to Denver is November 2 & 3.

Faye Quam Heimerl   303-503-3530
Book Doctor, Editor and Ghost Writer
Whistling.swan@comcast.net

Program Presentation: I play Book Doctor while wearing a white lab coat, "serious" eyeglasses, and a stethoscope. Students totally "go with" who I am and ask if I am indeed a real doctor. I demonstrate how I might perform a checkup on a book. I experiment with grammar and punctuation and the power of words in ways many students may never see again. I want them to know that what is "dull but necessary" can become fun when they apply the imagination to it. I tailor my presentation to a concept the class may be working on at the time.
Wow, the things the students come up with!
